“Keep your head cool!” say the wise! This is true both ways in regard to our temperature and temper. The wise advice thus to people who are always angry and react to everything with a hot temper. Our anger first burns us before it tries to burn the others. It is also seen that when we are angry, we heat our blood and the hot blood shoots straight to our head and we lose our mental balance even further.

Water has the special property of influencing its temperature on other particles of water that it comes in contact with. The process of heat traveling from one end of a body of water to the other end of it is called convection.  When we take a cool shower, the cool water that falls over our body influences the water particles in our body with its coolness and eventually cools our body also.

When an angry person takes a cool water shower or at least wash his head with cool water, his anger also subsides to a great extent and the chances are that he becomes calm. Depending upon the degree of disturbance in our mind, we can use water in different ways to cool our body and have control over our mind.

There are occasions when severe pain in our body can also create mental disturbance more or less, depending on the severity of pain. Even here such pains can be reduced considerably by cooling the pain spot with cold water. We use a ‘Cooling-wet pack’ to help cool the pain spot.
