In aKarma Nature Cure camps, fruits and salads are served during the day and cooked food is served at night.

Is it OK to make our own meal sequence at home?

For example, can we have fruits for dinner instead of breakfast?

The idea behind the meal sequence  of fruits – salad – cooked food for breakfast – lunch – dinner is to start with subtler foods and proceed to gross, mind foods.

Also not taking cooked food during working hours allows a chunk of vital energy to be used for work purpose instead of digestion.

But this flow may not work for everyone. So some folks rearrange these 3 meals as per their convenience.

The question is, is it OK to make our own meal sequence?

For example, can we have fruits for dinner instead of breakfast?

Mono fruit for dinner is good. Initially, many people tend to feel hungry at mid night or wake up to urinate due to high water content of fruits.

And both reasons can disturb sleep. If one eats sufficient quantity of fruits as early dinner, body will get used to this pattern and there will be no disturbance to sleep pattern.

Some people also make seasonal adjustments like having salads during hot summer afternoons or having warm cooked meals at nights during winter.
