It is sugar that is burnt to get heat which is needed by the body.  When the source of this sugar is a positive food, the body can process it easily. Sugar from ripe fruits is associated with nutrients (like vitamins) that are vital for our body.

Chewing well will help the body signal properly so we can stop at the right quantity,

And it is important to take a single kind of fruit for a meal.

We listen to what the body says..

If fruits that tend to be very sweet like mango are not agreeable, go for fruits of medium sweetness like guavas

We should not over eat even positive foods.

There is a huge difference between table sugar and the natural sugars occurring in fruits. Table sugar is refined form of sugar – empty calories and no nutrients. Actually, it robs nutrients from the body during its metabolism. Sugars in fruits come packed with nutrition – vitamins, minerals, phytochemicals, antioxidants and fibre. Absolutely safe to consume. Even Diabetics should consume a wide variety of fruits to ensure a good supply of micro nutrients provided they eat right (healthy and food full of fibre as prescribed by NC) through the day.
